10 Best Disney Dining Snack Credits

snackcredits

For me, going to Walt Disney World is a treat in itself. But for my kids? It’s all about the treats. Most (if not all) of the treats listed below qualify as one snack credit if you’re utilizing the Disney Dining plan. And if your stomach is growling by the end of this post, don’t say I didn’t warn you!

  1. Any pastry – At the Boulangerie Patisserie found in the France pavilion in EPCOT. Oh la, la! C’est magnifique!
  2. Rice Cream – You can find this delectable treat in the Norway pavilion in EPCOT. The creamiest, dreamiest rice pudding dessert (next to Grandma’s), topped with strawberry preserves. Light, creamy and oh-so-satisfying. (EPCOT – Norway pavilion)
  3. Dole Whip – There’s traditional soft serve. There’s the float version. There’s swirl. Any way you have it, this cold, refreshing treat is worth the wait. You can now find Dole Whip and a number of places (it used to be a Magic Kingdom only specialty) There’s even an adult version sold at Animal Kingdom.  (Outdoor stand in Adventureland Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Polynesian Resort)
  4. Popcorn – We love the enjoy this non-sugary treat while at Walt Disney World. I know. You can get fresh-popped popcorn at any movie theater across the US. But does it come in a nifty, plastic bucket with Goofy, Donald and the rest of the gang? I thought not. (Any WDW park)
  5. Gift Items – Yes. You read right. Gift items. One trip we had leftover snack credits. The cashier noticed and suggested I get a few things to take home. I lamented about our long drive and she pointed me in the direction of boxes of chocolate covered pretzels (Mickey shaped, of course), wrapped lollipops, tins of hot cocoa. All wonderful items to share with the pet sitter or the person who brought in your mail. (Any gift shop on property or Main Street Confectionery – Magic Kingdom or Goofy’s Candy Company – Downtown Disney)
  6. Snack Sized Entrees around  World Showcase EPCOT – The best time to utilize snack credits around World Showcase is during the Food and Wine Festival (late September-early November). Snack sized portions of filet mignon, cheddar cheese soup, and even sushi are available. (EPCOT)
  7. Breakfast items – Are you a light eater in the morning? Did you get a late start and had to rush out the door without breakfast? There are a number of places in all of the parks that offer croissants, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Breakfast is served! (WDW parks )
  8. Chocolate Dipped Fruit – Frozen bananas, fruit kabobs – everything tastes better dipped in chocolate. And it feels healthy, too! (WDW parks)
  9. Zebra Domes – More chocolate in this tasty Kahlua coffee spongecake treat, you either love ’em or hate ’em. But honestly. Who could hate a cake-bite covered in chocolaty goodness? (You can find these for “free” on the Boma buffet or as a snack at Mara in Animal Kingdom Lodge)
  10. The iconic Mickey Bar – They come in all shapes and sizes. But our family favorites are the classic vanilla ice cream bar with chocolate coating and the Rice Crisped Mickey. (Found all over the parks and resorts)

Happy snacking!
