11. Be In Time To See The Opening Show – I always recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the park opens so that you can get the most done on any given day. But the park’s welcome show is a must-see event, putting you into the spirit of the magic ahead.

10. Enjoy A Parade – With up to 5 parades a day, you’re sure to be around for at least one. This is a great time to stop and smell the roses. People watch, take a breather or join in and sing along.

9. Ride It’s A Small World – My family tolerates it with me now, as we’ve probably ridden It’s A Small World about 300 times. But it’s a ride that is iconic Disney. Created in 1964 for New York’s World Fair, it translated well into a theme park ride for Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It is now featured in all Disney parks, including Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai. And this year is its 51st birthday!

8. Eat At Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom’s newest eatery, Be Our Guest is a must-eat according to Disney foodies. Dinner is a sit-down affair, so be sure to make advanced dining reservations. If you can’t snag a table, lunch is counter service but can be crowded, so plan on an early lunch that day.

7. Climb The Big Three Mountains Plus One – The three main coasters at Magic Kingdom are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Opening soon, Seven Dwarves Mine Train will be the fourth roller coaster to call Magic Kingdom home. Fun coasters for the whole family (that is, if you’re at least 40″ tall). They may not be the fastest coasters ever, but the theming can’t be beat!

6. Experience Haunted Mansion – More campy than scary, the Haunted Mansion is a family favorite. Although dark, silly humor is more the prevailing tone making it a great ride for all ages. Things do pop out and the ride is dark so prepare your little ghosts and ghouls before riding.

5. See Mickey’s PhilharMagic – A 3D musical, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a great way to rest, cool off and enjoy Disney’s beloved cartoon characters.

4. Escape The Heat – Pirates of the Caribbean and Tomorrowland Transit Authority are the perfect rides to escape the heat. Both attractions handle crowds very well. So rest your tired feet, sit back and enjoy the ride!

3. Have A Snack – Our family favorites include Dole Whip (found at Aloha Isle) or the iconic Mickey Ice Cream bar.

The Mickey Bar is our favorite treat to enjoy while watching the parades.

 2. Meet Mickey Mouse At Town Square Theater – Go “backstage” to meet the mouse who started it all!

1. Watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular – A fireworks show that shouldn’t be missed! Narrated by your favorite characters, you’ll listen to your favorite Disney tunes and see Tinkerbell fly. The perfect ending to your day.
