The Liebster Award — It’s A Major Award!

I realize that blog awards are most popular among newbies, like myself. But that doesn’t make them any less meaningful. In fact, I am quite honored to be mentioned in Disney Diva’s post, awarding me the Liebster Award!

  • It means someone is reading me and enjoying what they read. I’ve been noticed! (By a Diva, no less!)
  • It means other people out there, that I may not have reached otherwise, can now find me.
  • It means I can connect with other bloggers that I may not have found otherwise.

It’s a Win-Win-Win!

The rules are as follows:

  1. The nominated blogger must link back to the person who nominated them.
  2. The nominees must answer the 11 questions given to them by the person who nominated them.
  3. Those nominated must choose 11 of their favorite bloggers who have less than 200 followers* to answer their own set of questions. You can not nominate the person who nominated you.

(*Love this rule! It helps newbies, like myself, make a name for themselves!)

So, thank you, Disney Diva! Please check out her blog. And check out her Liebster Award article for more blogs to check out.

Here are my answers to Disney Diva’s questions:

1. Who or what inspired your blog? Walt Disney and my love of Walt Disney World. I’ve been going to WDW since it opened in 1971. It’s my favorite place to vacation and I love helping other people plan their trips to WDW. I vow to make a Mickey/Disney lover out of everyone I meet!
2. Most useless sidekick in a movie and why? Iago, from Aladdin. Because his voice annoys the heck out of me.
3. If you had to choose, would you rather have dinner with The Hulk or go to a dance with The Thing? Dinner with The Hulk. I don’t dance. (Very well, that is.)
4. Which Pokemon would you want by your side? I have no idea. Ask my son.
5. Who would win in this fight, Link or Batman? Batman. But only because I’m not familiar with Link.
6. Favorite non-princess Disney movie (animated or live)? Animated: Toy Story 1, 2 and 3. Live: Pirates of the Caribbean, Miracle, Secretariat, The (Original) Parent Trap and Enchanted. Oh! And Mary Poppins and Saving Mr. Banks. (Sorry, you can never ask me to pick just one favorite of anything when it comes to Disney!)
7. At the end of Inception, did the totem stop spinning? No.
8. What is your biggest pet peeve? At Disney World, it would be when one person is saving a place in line for 14 of his friends and family. (Yes, this has happened to me before. Fourteen!)
9. What is your favorite quote? “If you can dream it, you can do it!” ~Walt Disney
10. Name one famous person (dead or alive) that you would want to have a drink with. Walt Disney, of course! Duh!
11. Dessert before dinner? Heck yes! What dessert are we having? I agree with dessert before dinner and a hot fudge sundae always satisfies my sweet tooth! Or a Mickey Bar!

My Nominees:

My Questions:

  5. What attraction would you never wait for more than 10 minutes?
  6. What is your favorite time of day to write for your blog?
  7. You have been hired to be a Disney character in the parks. Which character?
  8. Besides a Disney park, where is your favorite vacation destination?
